Slow Cooker Time Conversion Calculator
Convert standard oven cooking times to slow cooker high and low settings.
From Oven to Crockpot
Adapting an oven recipe to a slow cooker is generally straightforward, but the time conversion requires a bit of math based on how slow cookers trap heat and moisture.
General Rule of Thumb
For standard 300°F - 350°F oven recipes: 1 hour in the oven equals roughly 4 to 6 hours on Low, or 2 to 3 hours on High in a slow cooker. Because liquid doesn't evaporate in a slow cooker, you should also consider reducing the recipe's added liquids by about 20%.
